How to use ID Photo Maker
- Drop a front-facing, well-lit photo.
- Pick the size and drag the image or use the controls to frame the face.
- Download the photo or, if you want to print, create a sheet with several copies.
Tips and limits
- The tool crops and scales: it does not change the background, lighting or pose.
- Always check the official requirements of the procedure (size, background, face framing and resolution).
- To print, use 300 DPI and a 10 × 15 cm or A4 sheet.
What it is for and how it works
An ID photo is defined by its physical size (for example 35 × 45 mm) and by the pixels that cover it. To print it sharply you usually need about 300 pixels per inch: at that resolution, 35 × 45 mm is roughly 413 × 531 pixels.
The tool stores the chosen density in the JPG so that, when printed or imported, the photo keeps its physical size.
Frequently asked questions about ID Photo Maker
Does it work for any document?
Not necessarily. Each authority sets its own sizes and conditions; this tool only helps you prepare the image.
Does it remove the background?
No. If your photo does not meet the required background, you will have to retake it.
What does DPI mean?
Dots per inch. With more DPI, the photo has more pixels for the same printed size.
